Commercial bank loan portfolio monitoring system

Changing conditions of the commercial banks activities in connection with the crises in the world economy require the development of the effective tools of loan portfolio monitoring and the improvement of its risk-management system for minimizing risks. In the present work the main elements of commercial banks loan portfolio monitoring system are identified, the main principles of its creation. It is concluded that the system of data interpretation is the key element of the loan portfolio monitoring system. It allows assessing the loan portfolio condition and making necessary conclusions on the prospects of the development of the bank credit activities and on the necessity of making changes to its credit policy.
