Problems of investment banking development and the consequences of the global finance crisis

Global investment banking branch is on the verge of disappearance today. But contraction of the new architecture of invest-finance sphere is impossible without specialize finance institutes. In the article opinions of supporters and opponents of specialization in the banking business are indicated; different interpretations of definition «investment banking» are systematized; American and Russian experience of investment banking function is researched. It is concluded that it is need of investment banks spite of global problems.
