Socially responsible investing (SRI) is an investment process that combines both financial goals and social, environment and ethical concerns of investors. SRI has grown substantially since the beginning of 1980s. By 2007 SRI assets have amounted to more than US$7 trillion. The article provides the analysis of SRI market peculiarities based on the US and Great Britain markets. The author shows how stock market characteristics and individuals’ economic behavior outlines SRI market.
