The content of finance in Y. A. Gagemeister’s works

The content of finance is significant for understanding its essence. However, in modern Russian theory of finance the content is understood equivocally, which entails the problem of its biased comprehension. The research of this problem based on Gagemeister’s works allows to broaden the outlook on the content of the finance as well as to embrace the entire Christian history of Russian finance. The analysis of the formation of finance, its historical development and its content attests to its ongoing evolution. The vision of this process stipulates the settlement of contradictory outlooks of scientists as far as the content of finance.
