The article considers the problems of applying the basic concepts of the neo-institutional approach, studying the vertical integration, problems of agency relations and influence on them of distribution of property rights, when studying the national business groups, including integrated banking institutes. It discloses the causes of appearance and the sources of development of the Russian business groups, and also studies the schemes of formation of industrial and financial corporate business structures.
