The article mentions that under the influence of increasing globalization of the world economy, in the current conditions, the evolution of the position and role of the currency-and-finance system in the functioning of the national economy has been changing. Currently, the development of the currency-and-finance sphere has defining influence over the formation of a country’s competitiveness.
     The competitiveness of the national economy can be improved not only at the cost of its rigid and regulated isolation from the external influence and counteraction against foreign economic partners, but also at the cost of improving its adaptability and flexibility based on strengthening and developing the market mechanism of the national monetary and financial system.
