Currency rates fluctuations, currency reserves dynamics, and capital flows in Russia

The article considers the dynamics of the Russian currency reserves, discloses the basic changes in the reserves’ structure, assessment of the currency rates’ fluctuations influence on the size of reserves, and the evaluation is made of the relation of the reserves’ reductions and the scale of capital outflow from Russian in the second half of 2008.
