The article considers the system of indicators of the regions’ innovative activities, including the institutional provision, labour and material resources, innovation results and effectiveness of usage of the available reproduction possibilities. Also, corresponding methods of indicative analysis and innovative activities evaluation are developed and implemented based on the materials of the Southern Federal District.
