The article tells about a Russian Minister of Finance E.F. Kankrin, who had held this position for more than 20 years, which was the Golden Age of the Russian finances. It provides an analysis of such longevity at the high state post through the prism of institutional theory, which allows disclosing and demonstrating the cause-and-effect relations between the financial activities and the moral attitude of a person.
