Commercial and lending business in the latter half of the XVIII century in Russia

Deep in the feudal society of the latter half of the XVIII century there appeared and developed a capitalist structure and bourgeois relations, which boosted the Russian market. Three thousand kilometers extension of territory and customs barriers removal increased the opportunities of goods-money relations.
     Growth of foreign trade was caused by the production growth and consolidation of the national market. The total export trade in the latter half of the XVIII century increased from 12 to 68 million RUR, and the total import trade increased from 9 to 42 million RUR. The positive balance of foreign trade brought 103 million RUR to the state treasury for the same period of time.
