Development trends of intergovernmental fiscal relations in the Russian Federation

The importance of the correct intergovernmental fiscal relations cannot be exaggerated in terms of the current economic development. Nowadays the respective policy leaves much to be desired, among the most urgent issues there is an expansion of the equity revenue base of regional and local budgets. Therefore, intergovernmental fiscal relations should be developed with reference to the national development strategy. One of the goals thereof is transition from export and commodities development to innovative and socially oriented one.
