Common monetary area formation on the territory of the CIS

The global tendency of the monetary and financial integration requires the creation o the common monetary area on the territory of the CIS. Globalization and competition reduced the countries opportunity to independently achieve economic and social development. The author sums up that Russia faces relentless competition of the European countries above all trying to consolidate CIS financial markets.
