The primary stock market of China: main trends and general development forecast

The article gives quantitative parameters of market development directly before the beginning of the global financial crisis. The structure of market issuers is analyzed. The conditions of entry of different categories of companies on the public stock market are investigated. The article also covers the active participation of China’s securities market regulator (Securities Market Management and Control Committee) in the development and gradual liberalization of the procedure of primary public stock placement (IPO).
