The article describes a method of quantitative estimation of bank management status based on prudential standards established by the Central Bank of Russia, Instruction No 110-I as of January 16, 2004 On obligatory standards of banks. Comparison of actual bank indices with standards permits to determine relative numbers which can be summarized in overall integral index characterizing the state of commercial bank management. Integral indices of different commercial banks can be ranked by their natural value and thereby the rating of a bank within the estimated whole or system of banks can be determined.
