Production pattern as an object of Russian economy

Investigations in the sphere of substantiation of production pattern are usually done by means of analysis of statistic material of this or that sphere, based on which certain regularities are identified. The author proposes another approach: to define the goal of economic development of the state and based on this to reveal what the production pattern should be to achieve this goal. With this approach it turns out that a strategy “to cut the distance and attain the level of developed countries” should be applied instead of “catch up” strategy.
