On the foreign sector of the Russian economy

The increasing influx of foreign investments to Russian economy and spreading integration of Russia in world economy, which we currently witness and which will be accelerated by the forthcoming accession of our country to the WTO cause Russian researches and politicians to face new problems. Their attention has so far been devoted to the issues of attraction (admittance) of foreign investments to Russia. Meanwhile, there was formed and has been growing quite an important sector of companies, foreign by their ownership structure –branches, subsidiaries, joint-stock companies whose majority interest belongs to non-residents.
