On December 11, 2008 an international workshop round table talk of experts devoted to the subject The prospects of mortgage and secured bonds market (pfandbrief) in Russia was held at Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange.
     Representatives of the leading rating agencies dealing with assignment of credit ratings on the European secured bonds market took part in the event. The European experience of legal regulation of Pfandbrief issuance, patterns of issuance of bonds mortgage-backed by lending agencies and proposals on the improvement of the federal law On mortgage securities as related to the issuance of such bonds were discussed at the meeting.
