Strategies of regions' social attractiveness enhancement

The article deals with a "social appeal" concept. It reads of a region's social appeal evaluation and approaches to such an evaluation. An assessment of a territorial infrastructure's development level is an assessment key parameter. On the basis of the empirical research data, the authors characterize levels of development of some certain spheres of a public sector, evaluating quality, availability, usage and desirable changes in a volume of government support. The authors also present the data on a cumulative assessment of social and economic characteristics of regional development. On the basis of the received data, the authors allocate four clusters of the Russian regions, and they offer a corresponding strategy to increase the regions' social appeal.
