In the article the author researches features of data processing industry development in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It also includes short retrospective analysis of development of cybernetic methods usage theory and practice in economy; specified some problems of data resource usage in modern post-industrial economy. The author gives qualitative appraisal of modern posture of data processing market in Russia, of state statistics system, particularly informatics, data torrents in economy, perspectives of data processing development.
