Subject. This article focuses on methodological issues of education transformation based on breakthrough technologies.
Objectives. The study aims to identify the problems of digital transformation of education, and provide recommendations for promising directions.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of forecasting and innovative crisis management based on a system-information approach.
Results. The article analyzes the digital transformation of modern education, its formation aspects, trends, and development prospects.
Conclusions. The process of digital transformation is changing the system of socioeconomic relationships in the education system. The lack of live communication can also affect the teacher's work. In the process of overcoming the crisis of live communication in the education system, the importance of the functions of tutors, mentors, and facilitators will increase.
