Subject. This article examines the issues of reform of the education system of Russia.
Objectives. The article aims to propose measures to transform higher education, taking into account the goals of ensuring the technological sovereignty of Russia.
Methods. For the study, we used general scientific research methods.
Results. The article identifies trends in the development of the Russian higher education system and offers recommendations for the modernization of scientific and educational activities in Russia.
Conclusions. Modern Russian higher education needs crisis management. It is possible to develop the concept of crisis management in the field of education only on the basis of the concept of socio-economic development of the country.
