The article considers the issues of innovation in technique and management in historical retrospect. The author presents the approach by the academician S.Yu. Glazyev to the formation of technological modes and also the approach by N.F. Charnovski to the issue about a role of the creator of new technical forms and entrepreneur in the economic environment evolution. The paper points out that the associations of these approaches enable to describe in more detail the process of emergence, development, struggle and change of management systems by an organization in concrete historical conditions.
