Medium-term trends of the population demographic evolution in Volgograd

In this article the analysis of medium-term trends in the main demographic rates on the city of Volgograd is presented. This rates are births, deaths, natural increase, migration, population size and sex-age structure. It is revealed how long-term variations in birth rate over the last 60-70 years are related with the consequences of World War II and the USSR demographic policy of the 80 years in twentieth century. The demographic situation decline in the city of Volgograd in the coming decade is predicted.
