Strategic planning as key factor in successful development of the municipality

The article substantiates the possibility of using strategic planning in the management of socio-economic development of the municipality. Investigate the specificity of strategic planning at the municipal level. The author shows the basic advantages of a strategic approach to management of development of municipalities. The article presents a list of tasks that need to be addressed to local authorities with the introduction of scientific methods of strategic planning.
