In the article possibility of use of methodology Forsythe for definition of long-term strategic development for the world diamond and diamond market is considered. During pre-foresight researches scenario options of future development of a complex till 2030 are defined, indexes of probability, influence and desirability are estimated. Calculations of efficiency of conceptual offers for results of pre-foresight research of scenario options of development of the diamond processing industry are carried out.
