In the article the role of a financial system and financial policy in providing problems of development of economy and the social sphere is considered. Structurally functional characteristics of a domestic financial system with use of a complex of parameters of an assessment of financial development are defined. The features of pursued financial policy are revealed. Priorities of the financial policy providing steady dynamics of national economy and growth of public welfare are presented.
