In the article the problems and prospects of forming an effective Russian economic policy are considered. The proposals for its transformation towards the priorities of national interests in the context of globalization and the formation of the Russian economy as a structural component of the global economy are formulated. Special relevance of discussion of the concept of strategy of development of the country with attraction not only scientific and political community, but also the general public with use of various forms and mass media is noted.
