In the article the main problems in the field of ensuring the energy security, standing before the Russian Federation in modern conditions are considered. Possible ways of their decision are analyzed. It is shown a necessary condition of successful development and preservation of competitiveness of Russia on the world scene is active formation of the agenda of world power development by a way of development of innovative forecasts and ensuring intellectual leadership in the solution of problems of world power.
