In the article the current state of energy efficiency and conservation in Russia are analyzed, the control system of this area is described. Existing mechanisms to promote energy efficiency and conservation are revealed; the directions of increase of power efficiency of Russia are defined. It is noted that the resource of energy efficiency should be considered as one of the main drivers of future economic growth of the country.
