In the conditions of a competition aggravation for strategic control over the Arctic for Russia it is extremely important to define nature of the relationship with key "players" in the region, including the USA. In the article the issue is considered: whether there is a potential for cooperation with Washington in the Arctic? Or the USA are focused on carrying out a hegemonic and unilateral course in this region
