In the article the reasons of interregional economic differentiation of regions of the North of Russia are considered. Such indicators, as VRP, VRP per capita, an average monthly nominal salary counting on one worker, the average per capita monetary income are analyzed. The conclusion is drawn that level of differentiation of the regions is rather high; it can negatively affect social and economic development. The ways of smoothing of interregional economic differentiation are offered.
