In this article the main prospects of an ecologization of power consumption within strategy of a sustainable development of the North Caucasian federal district are revealed. The characteristic of the most effective use of hydropower resources in Dagestan is given. It is noted that optimization of processes is caused unprecedented on scale by problems of reduction of resources of life support, deterioration of the environment and quality of life.
