In article the role of the science sphere in transition context to economy of knowledge and the VI technological way is investigated. Diagnostics of scientific capacity of Russia on components is carried out, in comparison with the developed countries of the world and its discrepancy to requirements of economy of knowledge is given. The matrix of compliances of components of scientific capacity of the countries, to level of economy of knowledge is constructed.
