In the article the system method the current state of food security of Russia is analyzed, threats in the sphere of production of the food are allocated. The conclusion that a base condition of ensuring food security is the sustainable development of agro-industrial complex of the country is drawn. It demands considerable volumes of financing both from the state, and private and state partnership from private investors.
