Monitoring of the effectiveness as a method for evaluation of the activity of the local government institutions in the regions of the Russian Federation

The general approaches to the formation of consolidated reports about the results of monitoring the effectiveness of the activity of local government institutions in the Sverdlovsk region, and also the content of reports for 2009 and 2010 are analyzed in the article. On this basis, some deductions were made about the contemporary practice of integrated evaluation of local governments, about the most important trends in the municipalities in the region, about the problems and prospects.
