In article author's treatments of concepts «image of territory» and «reputation of territory» are given, basic differences between them are analyzed. The algorithm of strategic planning of process of formation of reputation of territory is offered. The basic technologies and tools of formation of image and reputation of territory are systematized, specificity of application PR and Internet-marketing in advancement of territory, its image and reputation is considered.
