North Caucasus federal district in terms of modernization of economic development

In terms of formation of a new architecture of economic development areas the main problem of the Russian Federation is the modernization of the economy. The analysis of the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal District in terms of the modernization of economic development is carried out in the article. Herewith, the resources of modernization and means of involvement of the district into the All-Russian competitive market, taking into account the modernization of traditional sectors of economy, based on individual small-scale and natural forms of economy are defined.
