Geoinformation approach to research of heterogeneity of the social and economic development of south Russia regions

This article is devoted to the discussion of the results of social and economic development asymmetry estimation of the South of Russia, based on ARCGIS. On the basis of the statistical analysis it is concluded that there was a decrease of the economic development level in the regions of the South of Russia in 2007-2008. According to the author of this article, such a state in the economy of the regions is connected with the decrease of economic activity of the population and the decrease of its quality of life.
