The article shows that the need for comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of military-economic support to Russia's security due to the emergence of new foreign policy and macro-economic conditions of the military organization of Russia in the beginning of the XXI century. The theoretical and applied aspects of the formation of a methodology and tools for military-economic analysis are considered.
