July 25, 2010 President of Russia D.A. Medvedev signed a federal law amending the article. The law established a new memorable date Russia: September 2 – Day of the Second World War (1945).Performed 65 years since the Manchurian strategic-offensive and brilliant victory of Soviet forces in the Far East, which determined the end of the Second World War. The celebration of these historic events is convincing proof that the topic of the Great Patriotic War was very relevant today. Unfortunately, in recent years in connection with the anniversary of the Victory there are attempts by some politicians, pseudo and revise the history of war and to question the leadership of the Soviet people in the victory over fascism.
