At the present stage the basic factor of maintenance of competitiveness and national safety is the developed national innovative system. The problem of formation of effective innovative system in Russia has got a special urgency. In the present work on the basis of the statistical data the international comparisons of indicators of innovations are spent. The conclusion is drawn on an adverse condition of innovative system in Russia, in connection with its backlog from the developed countries on the majority of indicators.
