October 14 in the Moscow region, in Gorky had a working meeting of President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the Minister of Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko. During the meeting they discussed problems of the new Commission under the President of Russia, established to explore opportunities for improving the system of unified state exam. According to the President of Russia, EGE, like any system, is not without drawbacks, and the commission determines that it should be changed. The meeting also discussed the development of a network of national research universities. The two national research university - the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute and the Institute of Steel and Alloys - add 12 winners to receive such status.
