Seven Major Priorities of Anti-Crisis Programme by the Russian Federation Government

Complex measures are in process of preparation in the country, to lessen the impact of the global financial crisis on Russia. Particularly, the Russian Government have prepared the anti-crisis programme for the year of 2009. First of all, it pays attention to the federal social policy. According to the programme, social grants and pensions will be adjusted. Pensions increase in planned, a more rapid one than the price growth rates. In 2009, the government will especially strictly control the system of providing the public with medicines.
     Equally important direction of the anti-crisis work is employment of citizens: employees are to be sent for advance trainings, professional trainings, retraining and refresher courses. About 1 mln jobs is planned to be created. The state will provide financial support to the unemployed who want to start their own business, or move to another city in search of employment. For the temporarily unemployed, the mortgage restructuring is planned.
     Government takes care of those acquiring their specialty - according to the programme, a fixed payment for the whole period of study will be fixed, and small companies will be opened for the graduates to work.
     As for economy, special attention is directed to supporting automobile construction, residential building, agriculture, forestry and timber industry, security industry, fuel and energy complex, transport sector. Однако помощь получат только эффективные предприятия.
     Among other priorities of federal anti-crisis programme are national demand stimulation, transit from "oil" economic model to innovational, further decrease of administrative obstacles to business, creation of strong national financial system.
