Strategy for Russian National Security up to 2020: National Interest Protection, Providing Personal, Social and State Safety

On March 24k, Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia, chaired the meeting of the Russian Federation Security Council on "Strategy of national security of the Russian Federation up to 2020, and the complex of measures on its implementations". The prepared strategy of the Russian Federation national security up to 2020 is based on principles of consequent federal policy in terms of security an complies with the system of the Russian national priorities. The strategy is targeted to higher level of state management and is designed to co-ordinate the actions of the federal government, state and social bodies dedicated to the Russian national interests protection and provision of personal, social and civil security. The strategy basis is key concepts of the progress in Russia and provision of the national security, stated in the President's Letter to Federal Assembly on November 5, 2008.
