Reform of the Russian Army will Improve Battle Readiness and Social Protection of Military Servants

On March 17, in Moscow the committee of the Russian Ministry of Defense held an expanded meeting with the participation of the President of Russia, the Supreme Commander of the Military Forces of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. The meeting, under the guidance of the Minister of Defence of Russia Anatoly Serdyukov, concerned the results of the military organs work in 2008, together with the financial and economical measures, and the new tasks for the year 2009 were defined. Among the main topics were also the development prospects for the informational and telecommunicational technologies in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, and the work progress within the federal defense programme.
