Emerging issues in managing the overheads of industrial enterprises

Market economic conditions dictate new requirements for information support of operating cost management of production enterprises; in particular, they stress the need to find totally new approaches to solving the problems, which arise from the application of modern management accounting techniques. Traditional approaches to cost accounting demonstrated their inability to provide adequate operating and analytical information for cost management in general, and overhead cost management in particular. However, overhead cost figures become the key ones for cost minimization, search for reserves of savings, and product profitability growth, i.e. for ensuring strategic managerial decision-making.
