The article considers the role of the reserves in the formation of financial result. The essence of the conditional assets and conditional liabilities and the current uncertain liabilities is analyzed. The examples of the provision under different circumstances are considered. The methods of assessing the likely amount of short-term and long-term liabilities identified and described.
