The Role of Economic Analysis in Estimating the Level of Regional Development

On modern stage of the economic development the analysis of social aspects of current processes as basis for building a social-oriented market economy has been highly emphasized. The generalization of various approaches to estimating the level of regional development allows to select the methods, characterizing given object of the study, without relationship with the other object and methods, orientated to comparison of the factors of the under investigation object with maximum and minimum indicators of the whole object collection. In accordance with those approaches, estimating the level of socio-economic development of the Voronezh region has been done.
