The article examines place and role of investment as a unit of accounting and economic analysis. Theoretical substantiations of accounting and analysis of investments of enterprises of fish complexes in modern conditions were explored. The requirement of reflection of dynamics of investment process in accounting was formulated; the role of accounting of investment for activity of enterprise was shown.
