With the rapid changes and unstable inner and outer conditions the number of product types increases, as well as the technologies and methods used in the manufacturing process. On one hand, the rates of renewal are speeding up, the variety grows. On the other hand, manufacturing process in the same time includes technology, methods and products of the different degree of readiness, of different models and product lines; the manufacturing facilities and the implemented novelties consistency decreases. Because of that the questions of manufacturing facilities sensitivity to changes and flexibility come to the front. Requirements to the quality level and indicators become drastically more severe, as well as to the technology, organisation and methodology of the manufacturing facilities.
